1. Verify that the A/C service unit holds no refrigerant pressure.
2. If any refrigerant is present, remove it carefully using the proper and
environmentally accepted methods.
3. Connect the blue side and red side service coupler to the connection
point on the vehicle's A/C service unit.

– R1234yf system: fig. 1 6, page 3
4. Close ball valve (fig. 1 3, page 3).
5. Open the ball valve on the hose fully (fig. 1 7, page 3).
6. Rotate the adjusting knob to slowly increase the pressure of the
nitrogen source to the maximum pressure. Contact the manufacturer
regarding the approved maximum pressure.
7. Close the ball valve on the hose fully (fig. 1 7, page 3).
8. Turn back the adjusting knob on the pressure regulator.
9. Leave the system in this position for as long as you intend to do the
testing.
10. If the black needle drops on the manifold / gauge assembly
(fig. 1 1, page 3), this indicates a loss of pressure and thus a leak.
11. To pinpoint the leak use an appropriate leak detection spray.
12. Once you are satisfied with the test simply move the ball valve
(fig. 1 3, page 3) to the horizontal position to release the nitrogen
pressure.
13. Turn back the pressure on the regulator to "0".
14. Close all valves and remove the couplers.

 The A/C service unit must be switched off prior commencing any
maintenance or repair procedures.
 Use appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE) when working
on A/C service units.

 Do not use sharp or hard objects or cleaning agents for cleaning as
these may damage the product.
 Do not clean the sensor with water.
➤ Occasionally clean the product with a damp cloth.
