9.4.1. SYNERGY MODE SETTINGS MENU
When the unit is in SYNERGY mode, the settings menu allows the user to select the type of consumable, its size,
material and gas-shielding method.
In SYNERGY mode, the settings are selected in the following order:
1 - 'Electrode' consumable type: threaded stud, nail or ring, etc.
2 - 'EP. elec' selects the consumable's size: Mx or Øx, etc.
3 - Consumable materials: Fe, FeCu or Al, etc.
4 - Gas-shielding method: Ferrule, gasless or with gas shielding
Note: When welding under gas shielding, the gas displayed is the one that has been recommended to ensure that the
weld will hold (see § 5.3). If this gas is not available, it may be necessary to switch to MANUAL mode (see § 9.2).
Setting order
Pressing the G+ and G- keys moves the left cursor and pressing the D+ and D- keys changes the values for each
item.
Pressing the
button validates the synergy's settings and returns the machine to the SYNERGY mode welding
screen.
Press the return button
9.4.2. MANUAL MODE SETTING MENU
When the device is operated in MANUAL mode, the settings menu allows all relevant welding settings to be set indivi-
dually.
Pressing the G+ and G- keys will highlight the selected setting. Pressing the D+ and D- buttons will change the value
of this setting.
1 - Digital 'flex' spring:
• Releases (ON) or locks (OFF) the electrode holder's drive shaft when the consumable comes into contact with the
support sheet.
• Activating this feature is recommended for all consumables, except for pulling rings.
