13. Connect the pipes Ø 150.
14. Connect the power.
15. Push up the upper chimney and fix them with screws to the support frames.

3.4 GENERAL WARNING

The pipe must be heat, flame and corrosionproof. If the hood is mounted in suction use it is
important to take care of the return of the exchange air. Possible solution for exchange air are
for instance in doors windows, or air supply/air intake wall boxes or electric check valve. For
the suction use, the diameter of the pipe must be 150 mm or flat ducts with equal internal
square section . We advise smooth exhaust pipes. The pipe should be as short as possible
and with as few curves as possible. Put the check valve at the end of the air exhit or in the
wall box.
The end part of the pipe, on the outside of the hole on the wall, must be of such a shape to
avoid rain, gusts of wind or other foreign bodies getting into the pipe. Should there be any
doubt, contact anyone specialising in the installation of gas or ventilation system.

4 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

4.1 WARNING
The electrical connection can only be carried out by qualified professional personnel, using
standard material and state of the art installation methods. The manufacturer declines any
responsibility for installations carried out by unskilled persons and for installations which are
not in conformity with the standard norms concerning electrical safety (both concerning
methods and materials).
4.2 ELECTRICAL TECHNICAL DATA
The electrical technical data are visible inside the hood after the removal of the grease filters
and they are give as follows: 230V, 50Hz, 720W.
4.3 CONNECTION TO THE POWER SUPPLY
The cooker hood is equipped with 2 independent motors and with 2 separate feed cables
each of which has a length of 1,30 mt.
The flexible feed cables supplied are already connected internally and emerge from the hood
near the air outlet duct.
It is possible to effect two types of electric installation:
fixed installation;
installation by means of plug on a socket.
4.4 ELECTRIC CHECK VALVE
On Fig.11 you see the electric wiring diagram valid for each of the 2 motors. In the diagram
you see a check valve available as accessory which must be positioned outside the motor
exit. This valve is used to open to the duct only when the motor is working and to close this
when the motor is off.
Attention: when you switch the motor on for 1 minute it it normal that the hood is
making more noise than usual as the check valve is opening slowly.
