2.5) If the hood is to be used as a filtering hood, it is necessary to purchase carbon filters
(see ACCESSORIES).

3 MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

ATTENTION! The hood is equipped with standard fixing material. The person
who is mounting the hood should make sure that the fixing elements are right and
suitable for the walls and ceiling he finds. The manufacturer declines any responsibility
for damages caused by incorrect mounting.
3.1 DISMANTLING AND RE-POSITIONING OF THE GREASE FILTERS
To mount the hood or insert the carbon filters, it is necessary to gain access to the inside,
therefore the grease filters should be removed.
Before removing the grease filters it is necessary to take away the blind filters by gripping
them from the side and pulling them downwards. (Fig.4).
TO EXTRACT a grease-filter (see direction of arrow in FIG.5).
Press the sliding part of the handle and extract the grease filter pulling this downwards.
TO RE-POSITION the grease-filter (SEE FIG.5 opposite direction to the arrow).
Insert the back part of the grease filter into its slots.
Push the sliding part of the handle and insert the front part of the filter.
Release the handle and make sure that the pin of the handle enter into its holes.
3.2 FITTING AND REMOVAL OF EVENTUAL CARBON FILTERS
The hood is equipped with 2 motors so it it necessary to mount 2 pcs of carbon filters.
If you wish to use the hood as a filtering hood, it is necessary to fit the carbon filters.
The carbon filters which contain activated carbon ARE OPTIONAL, and can be bought
separately.
It is available a kind of carbon filter that can be regenerated for which the mounting and use
instruction are given separately with the filter. (see Fig.5b).
In case the mounted filter is the one shown in Fig. 5A (Carbon Filter not to regenerate) follow
the following procedure for mounting:
pay attention to the shape of the joints;
insert the back side into its groove;
lift the front side of the carbon filter, until it is blocked in position;
clamp the filter by rotating the 2 knobs at 90°.
To remove a carbon filter proceed as follows: (see FIG.5A, opposite direction of arrows):
rotate the two knobs at 90°;
pull the front side of the filters downwards;
fully extract, by removing the back of the filter from the groove.
3.3 MOUNTING THE ISLAND COOKER HOOD WITH 2 EXTERNAL CHIMNEYS
The island cooker hood is intended to be mounted either directly on the kitchen ceiling or onto
a stable false ceiling structure.
Please ensure that minimum distance between hotplate and lower part of extractor hood is
700-800 mm. Fig.2.

Mark the centre point of the extractor hood on the ceiling.

Using template in paper (metal only on request) mark screw position on the ceiling.

Drill the 8 mm Ø fixing holes and insert the wall plugs into the holes. Fig.9.

Fix partially the screws of the support frames so that they can still be lightly adjusted.
5.
Insert the hood in the support frames and fix this in a provisional way making sure that
the possibility that the hood can fall is completely excluded.
