6. Changing the batteries

S 2001 ID, S 2000 I, S 2000 IA, ASH/AS 2000 radio sensors
The batteries in these sensors have a life of up to three years (alkaline batteries).
They must be changed when the display of the appropriate sensor in the base
device display does not appear for more than 24 hours and there is no general and
longer lasting interference of the radio path, which can usually be recognized by
the fact that data transmission from other, neighbouring sensors has also broken
down (see section 6, "Interference").
The battery is changed by opening the battery compartment on the rear of the
sensor housing, removing the discharged battery and inserting two new AA alka-
line Mignon cells in the correct polarity according to the markings in the battery
compartment. Replace the battery compartment cover and the sensor is ready for
use. After a few seconds the data from this sensor will appear on the display.
Changing the remote control transmitter batteries:
see operating instruction FS10 S8
Other components of the system do not require a battery change as they are
powered by solar cells. Integrated batteries provide power during the hours
Note:
Used batteries should not be disposed of in the household waste.
Old batteries and batteries that no longer work can be handed
in to the local collection point free of charge.
Note for disposal:
The outdoor sensors with solar cells contain a chemical energy
storage device and when they are not longer used thy should
under no circumstances be disposed of in the household or
electronic waste. Please hand them in to the local collection
point for hazardous waste.
of darkness and periods of bad weather.
