1. General information and functioning

The WS 3001 Touch Screen Radio Weather Station represents a high-quality, ex-
tremely convenient universal weather measuring system, which can record, proc-
ess and display data from up to 9 external radio temperature and humidity sensors,
a radio wind sensor, a radio brightness sensor and a radio rainfall sensor.
The operating concept of the weather station is remarkable. It does not use any
operating elements, but is operated solely via a large touch screen and easy to
read menu structure.
The comprehensive graphical weather data, which can be seen at a glance, ena-
bles weather patterns for up to 72 hours to be analysed. In addition, all important
functions can be radio controlled.
The display languages that can be selected are German, English, French, Italian,
Dutch and Spanish.
The large display is illuminated permanently or on a time basis, so that it remains
legible under nearly all light conditions.
The measurement possibilities of the WS 3001 at a glance:
- Up to 9 different, combined humidity/temperature measuring positions (1 x in-
door + 8 additional), of which two can appear on the display concurrently in any
relationship.
- Calculation and display of the wind-chill equivalent temperature (see explanation
of terminology) for all sensors.
- Dew points are separately calculated for each of the nine temperature/humidity
measuring points.
- Temperature analysis for each measuring point with graphic preparation and dis-
play for the last 72 hours, also valid for humidity for sensors with humidity sens-
ing elements.
- Selectable display of temperature in ˚C or ˚F.
- Air pressure, selectable in hPa, mmHg or in Hg and air pressure tendency dis-
play.
- Graphical display of air pressure alterations in the last 72 hours.
- Symbolic display for weather forecast (sunny, bright, cloudy, rainy) with an ani-
mated weather forecast as an option.
- Comfort zone indicator for every humidity/temperature measuring point.
- Wind speed, selectable in km/h, m/s, mph, knots or Beaufort.
- Wind direction in the form of a wind rose with display of the wind direction varia-
tions.
- Wind speed and wind direction analysis with graphic display for the last 72 hours.
- Time display in 12 or 24 hour mode.
- Storage of the minimum and maximum measured values for all sensors with as-
sociated time and date details (for the speed the associated wind direction is
also displayed, for temperatures and humidity the associated value of humidity
and temperature).
