Explosion protection

If the risk assessment has concluded that an explosive atmosphere may be created, the following requirements must be
met.
Requirements of Directive 1999/92/EC
Directive 1999/92/EC contains minimum regulations for improving work health and safety for employees, who may be at
risk due to explosive atmospheres:

classification of areas where an explosive atmosphere may be present

spheres as well as criteria for selecting equipment and protection systems
The explosion protection document produced by the operator specifies the conditions at the location of use. The operator
must test in detail, whether the product and its equipment meet the requirements of the explosion protection document.
2.3

Personnel requirements

Risk-free working is only guaranteed, when only specially qualified workers use, maintain or repair the product.
Persons undergoing training may only be permitted to work with the product, if a qualified person is constantly super-
vising the work.
The following points must be strictly observed:
always use the product in accordance with the intended use

follow the manufacturer's operating instructions
g
follow the operator's instructions
g
report any damage or faults to a supervisor and have them repaired immediately
g
only carry out work which has been specifically instructed
g
never exceed the set responsibilities
g
only store media in accordance with the operator's marking
