Fault/Remedy
Fault
The message "H:HH" or "E:EO"
appears on the display.
Ingredients are not mixed
together properly, flour and other
ingredients are deposited on the
sides of the pan, the loaf is covered
with flour.
The bread has risen very high.
The bread has not risen.
The bread has collapsed in the
middle after baking.
The bread crust is too light.
The loaf has a very uneven shape

Possible Cause/Remedy
See "Warning messages on the display".
‚ The dough hook may not be fitted properly.
Check that the dough hook is positioned
correctly.
‚ Dough container is overfilled. Remove
ingredients. Be careful to check the correct
quantities and the correct sequence for
adding ingredients next time.
‚ Excess flour can be removed from the loaf
after baking and cooling.
‚ You did not measure out your ingredients
correctly (too much yeast or flour).
‚ You forgot to add salt.
‚ You used too little yeast, or none, or your
yeast was past its expiry date.
‚ The dough rose too fast, because you used
too much yeast or water.
‚ You selected the wrong programme for
your recipe.
‚ If possible, avoid opening the lid during
baking.
‚ Set a darker browning level.
‚ You have added too much sugar.
‚ You have selected too light a browning
level.
‚ You used too much yeast or water. As a
result, the dough hook pushed the dough
to one side before rising and baking.
‚ Be careful to check the correct quantities
and the correct sequence for adding
ingredients next time.
‚ With wholemeal flour, your loaf of bread is
more likely to be a bit uneven. This is not a
fault.
‚ No fault. Wholegrain or multigrain bread is
more dense and may be shorter than, for
