8 Fluorescence Measurement

The spectro2guide and the spectro2guide Pro can measure fluorescence to
predict color stability.
Go to Configuration > Measurement Parameters > Fluorescence. Activate
following indices:
• ΔE Fl: Indicates whether and how much fluorescent energy is emitted.
• ΔE
decayed.
Place instrument on sample and measure it, see for example
"Difference Measurement
The status of the fluorescence detection is signaled via an acoustic and a visual
signal. For the visual signal the status LED on the top of the instrument is used:
• Status LED = Blue: Fluorescence has been detected.
• Status LED = Pink: Fluorescence exceeds predefined limit.
Notice
The fluorescence limit can be customized as tolerance value in the software
"smart-chart".
