Unlock the lever (18) to extend or shorten the extendable pole, only if there is no air inside the pole. Figure B.

Starting and stopping the tool

CAUTION!
Before starting the tool:
 make sure that the chain (2) is not touching any foreign bodies.
 wear protective clothing
 Check that all the safety and protection devices can perfectly work and have been exactly assembled.
 Check that the cutting bar (1) and the chain (2) are mounted correctly and that the chain is tensioned cor-
rectly.
 Check that all the tightening screws are locked correctly.
Check the oil level in the container of the compressor lubricator.

1. Connect the tool to the air supply network by means of the fitting (13).
2. Remove the bar cover (8)
3. Grip the tool tightly with both hands, the right on the control handle (11) and the left on the extension pole (17 or
19). The thumbs and fingers must be properly closed around the handles.
4. Push the safety catch (15) forward. Pressing the start-up lever (16) starts the tool.
Releasing the operating lever (16), automatically engages the safety catch (15) and stops the tool.
CAUTION!
Never work on trees or ladders, since it is extremely dangerous.
