7-segment display

The 7-segment display is used for indicating channels, status and configuration.

Set button

The interface adapter is operated via the set button.

LED

The interface adapter is equipped with a green and a red LED indicating different
states, see page 20.
4.4

MicroSD card

The device is equipped with a MicroSD card slot. With a MicroSD card, the fol-
lowing functions can be carried out:
• Log events.
• Download firmware updates from the internet and install them on the device
via MicroSD card.

Channels and operation

In order to use an EnOcean device along with a controller, the EnOcean device
has to taught-in.
For this purpose, the interface adapter has 6 channels. In each channel, an EnOcean
device can be taught-in.
A free channel is indicated as a number (01 - 06). A channel already used is indica-
ted as a number followed by a dot (01. - 06.).
Note:
Channel 1 is permanently allocated to the internal bidirectional PWM /
0-10 V output (not asigned)
Note:
Î Start the teach-in process of room control units, sensors and remote
controls on channel 2.
Note:
In case of a channel error, an error code is alternately displayed with the
channel number.
5.1

Teach-in via EnOcean

In order to teach-in an EnOcean device, proceed as follows:
1.
To select a channel for the teach-in process, briefly press the set button.
Each time the button is pressed, the channel number increases by 1.
2.
In order to start the teach-in process, select the desired channel and keep the
button pressed until the channel selected and the green LED start flashing.
3.
Press the set button of the EnOcean device within 2 min.
In order to cancel the teach-in process, briefly press the set button.
If the device has been successfully taught-in, [ ] is indicated.
The device is now ready for operation. The LED is permanently green.
Î In order to remove a device taught-in, press the set button for 10 s.
If no EnOcean device has been recognised during the teach-in process, E1 is in-
dicated.
If a package has been received, the indication of the channel used flashes once.
An EnOcean device cannot be taught-in by means of an EnOcean repeater.
