5.2. E.ON Auto-detect preset automatically selects LAN or cellular interface with higher priority on LAN
interface. This means if the LAN interface is physically connected and it has IP adress, then the charging
station tries to connect from LAN interface to the OCPP central system using VPN link. If LAN interface is not
connected or does not have IP adress, then the charging station tries to connect via cellular interface using
VPN link. The charging station is preconfigured as plug&charge by default. To disable plug&charge mode
(VestelFreeMode) and activate RFID authorization, it is needed to change FreeModeActive OCPP configuration
key to "false" either from OCPP central system or from web configuration interface in "OCPP Settings" menu.
b.Standalone: This preset is available for both Standalone and E.on Auto-detect products as mentioned
in table.2. In Standalone preset, the charging station is configured for standalone plug&charge usage and
deactivates connection to OCPP central system. This preset is mainly for local usage purposes. In this preset,
it is possible to use factory registered master RFID card for adding/deleting user RFID cards to the local list
of charging station. By adding user RFID cards to the local list, the charging station switches to RFID local
authorization mode and plug&charge mode is disabled. It is possible to switch back to plug&charge mode by
deleting all user RFID cards from local list or reseting local RFID card list mentioned in section 2.10.
c.WLAN: This preset is available for both Standalone and E.on Auto-detect products as mentioned in table.2. In
WLAN preset, the charging station is configured to use WLAN interface to connect to the OCPP central system
via open internet link. WLAN configurations such as SSID and password should be done by the technician
during installation from web configuration interface (which is described in section 4.7. The charging station is
preconfigured as plug&charge by default. To disable plug&charge mode (VestelFreeMode) and activate RFID
authorization, it is needed to change FreeModeActive OCPP configuration key to "false" either from OCPP
central system or from web configuration interface in "OCPP Settings" menu.
d.LAN-WAN: This preset is available for both Standalone and E.on Auto-detect products as mentioned in table.2.
In LAN-WAN preset, the charging station is configured to use LAN interface to connect to the OCPP central
system via open internet link. The charging station is preconfigured as plug&charge by default. To disable
plug&charge mode (VestelFreeMode) and activate RFID authorization, it is needed to change FreeModeActive
OCPP configuration key to "false" either from OCPP central system or from web configuration interface in
"OCPP Settings" menu.
e.LAN-APN: This preset is only available for Standalone products as mentioned in table in section 5.2. In LAN-
APN preset, the charging station is configured to use LAN interface to connect to the OCPP central system
via VPN link. The charging station is preconfigured as plug&charge by default. To disable plug&charge mode
(VestelFreeMode) and activate RFID authorization, it is needed to change FreeModeActive OCPP configuration
key to "false" either from OCPP central system or from web configuration interface in "OCPP Settings" menü.

1 - STANDALONE USAGE MODES

Default preset standalone variants are pre-configured for standalone usage. In standalone
usage, charging station have two modes as autostart (plug&charge) and RFID authorised. When
your charger is powered on first time, it turns on with "onboarding" screens as shown in figure
below. If you connect your charging cable to start charging, charging station starts operating in
autostart (plug&charge) mode. If you tap your master RFID card and then your user RFID card,
your charging station starts operating in RFID authorised mode.
