Safety notes for level switching units Nivotester FTL 370, FTL 372
1) Install according to the manufacturer's instructions and other valid standards and guidelines.
2) The Nivotester FTL 370 or FTL 372 must be installed such that a degree of ingress protection of at least IP20 to EN 60529
is attained.
On connection, a partition must be inserted between the intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits as per
Section 6.3.1 of EN 50020 and/or a minimum gap (tight string length) of 50 mm must be maintained between the terminals.
3) When mounting in certified assembly racks (e.g. Racksyst, Monorack 4 HP) the requirements of Item 2 are fulfilled and the
clearances to neighbouring units of Racksyst design (Endress+Hauser) in accordance with EN 50020 are maintained.
In the event of combinations with units from foreign manufacturers, proof must be furnished that degree of ingress protection
and clearances have been upheld.
4) The pertinent guidelines must be observed when instrinsically safe circuits are connected together
(EN 60079-14, Proof of Intrinsic Safety).
5) The signal circuit is safely, galvanically separated from all other circuits up to a peak voltage of 375 V.
