A - Installation
The compressor must be installed in a ventilated area which is
not exposed to freezing conditions, at a distance of 50 cm at
least from the walls. For electrical connection, avoid as far
as possible using extension leads or flexible lead connectors.
B - Starting procedure
Check the oil level (13) Fig. 3 and top up if necessary through
port (11) Fig. 2.
The level must be between the min. and max. values shown on
Fig. 3.
CAUTION
The level must never drop below this minimum value as it can
cause severe damage.
Check that supply line voltage complies with the value
indicated on the label located on the electrical motor terminal
box (2) Fig. 1.
Make sure that the electrical system is fitted with an efficient
earth connection.
For three-phase compressor connection, see Fig. 9 and connect
22.
Compulsorily set the switch to Stop position before energizing.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Only use the switch (14) Fig. 4 located on pressure switch (7)
Fig. 4 to start and stop the compressor.
When the compressor is connected, check the rotation direction
indicated by the arrow direction on the belt housing (1) Fig. 1.
C - Stopping procedure
As previously mentioned, always use the switch (14) Fig. 4
located on the pressure switch (7) Fig. 4 to stop the
compressor. During this operation, make sure that the
compressed air from the discharge line is vented through the
unloading valve (15) Fig. 4, in order to facilitate next starting
operation.
D - Operation
The pressure switch (7) Fig. 1-4 automatically controls compressor
operation. This pressure switch cuts the power supply to the motor
(10) Fig. 1 when the tank pressure (9) Fig. 1 reaches the maxi-
mum setting value ; as soon as the tank pressure drops to the
minimum value, it resets the electrical motor.

CAUTION
The compressor is fitted with a safety valve (6) Fig. 1-8
calibrated to a pressure slightly higher than the maximum
setting pressure ; this safety valve starts operating when the
pressure switch (7) Fig. 1-4. does not operate correctly.
E - Control pressure adjustment Fig. 5
Turn the pressure switch screw (Fig. 8). Maximum admissi-
ble pressure: 10 bar (12 bar for version B).
F - Servicing
Drain oil after the first 50 operating hours. Drain oil through
plug (12) Fig. 2.
Fill the tank with oil through port (11) Fig. 2 and check level
on indicator (13) Fig. 3 before each use.
Clean the filtering element (21) Fig. 5 every 100 hours by
low-pressure blowing and replace it every 500 hours.
Air tank: read the tank specific notice.
Every 20 operating hours, bleed the tank (9) Fig. 7
condensates using bleeding valve (8) Fig. 7.
Every 500 operating hours and at least once a year, drain the
waste oil through plug (12) Fig. 2.

IMPORTANT
In case of use at a very low duty cycle, insufficient
warming of the machine may result in water condensation
accumulating in the oil pan. To avoid lubricant from being
altered by water and damaging the machine, it is
MANDATORY to check the condition of the oil and to
drain it as soon as the lubricant becomes opaque or whitens.
No warranty claim shall be accepted for incidents
due to water condensation.
