Setting up the machine

This chapter is intended for installers and techni-
cians You must be a registered, authorized tech-
nician or installer to carry out the tasks described
here.
Menu navigation and machine operation in nor-
mal mode are described in section 6.
The machine is delivered with the following settings:
– Operating language, English
– Authorization "Operator"
– Normal operation
– Short program active
The program structure and required authorizations are de-
scribed in section 5.14.
► Always ensure before switching on that the
power cable is in a fault-free condition.
► Switch on the machine.
The following appears on the display.

ATTENTION
The display may become damaged!
The display may be scratched by the use of unsuitable
tools.
► Operate the touch display with the finger or a sili-
cone-tipped stylus.
The handling of the touch display is described in
chapter 6.1.

5.1 Registering as an installer or technician

► Open Menu 3.
► Enter the password.
– Installers: 1212
– Technicians: Password for Weidmüller representa-
tives in that country.
► Press E to save the setting.
You are now registered as an installer or technician. This
mode remains active until the machine has been switched
off. The next time it is switched on, it will be in normal oper-
ating mode and "Operator" authorization will be activated.

5.2 Changing language

The machine is delivered with the following operating lan-
guages:
– German
– English
– French
► Open the menu item "Language" in Menu 6.
► Use the arrow keys to select the language required.
► Press E to save the setting.

5.3 Available program positions

2000 program positions can be assigned in the machine.
These are subdivided as follows on delivery:
– 000 reserved for the quick start program
– 001 ... 500 editable programs
– 501 ... 2000 reserved for wiring data
If you are using interface software only the first 500 pro-
gram positions should be assigned to production programs
as the program positions from position 501 are overwritten
with wiring data.
You can modify the subdivision of the program positions if
necessary.
► Open the "Program memory" menu item in Menu 6.
► Change the subdivision.
► Press E to save the setting.
