6.5 Control unit software
Updating and reading out the data
External hard drives must not be connected, the control unit would not work (max. 100 mA power supply). Before use, the
USB flash drive must be given a name via a Windows PC.
When a USB flash drive is connected to the control unit, it will be recognised automatically. An acoustic signal is heard dur-
ing connection and disconnection. Then the data exchange menu will appear with these selection options:
Software update
Data storage
Read in parameter
Load language package (factory customer service only)
Save the language package (factory customer service only)
If menu 0 System information is displayed, (if a USB flash drive is connected) the ESC button can be used to select the pre-
viously described data exchange menu.
Updating the software
Ensure that there is a firmware file (*.bin) on the 1st level of the USB stick (not in a subfolder).
Connect the USB flash drive,
Select |Software update|
Select the required file and follow the instructions on the screen.
Enter the expert password and confirm with OK.
The reading in takes place automatically.
Read in parameter
Ensure that there is a parameter file (446-103_KesselData.csv) on the USB stick.
Connect the USB flash drive,
Select |Read in parameter|
The reading in takes place automatically.
6.6 Overview of configuration menu
Overview menu
The Control menu is divided into 5 menu areas:
0 System info - selected system, configured sensors, cur-
rent measured values; if applicable, events or error mes-
sages
1 Information - display of the operating data (e.g. current
measured values such as voltage, log book or set parame-
ters)
2 Maintenance - maintenance-relevant activities (e.g. main-
tenance date)
3 Settings - parameters such as alarm layer thickness,
date/time, standard, nominal size), change system lan-
guage, potential-free contact
4 Communication - configuration of the type of communica-
tion (SMS, LoRaWAN)
