FUNCTION OF MEASURING BODY FAT AND WATER
The unit works on the principle of measuring bioelectric resistance using a weak electric current from measuring
electrodes located on the weighing surface. This electric current is absolutely harmless; the user does not feel it
flowing from one leg to the other.
The water contained in non-fat body mass conducts better than the fat layer. The total measured resistance,
bioelectric impedance, allows calculation of the percentage of fat and non-fat tissue with regard to weight, age,
gender and height.
RECOMMENDATION
Weigh yourself on a stable horizontal surface. Use a hard surface, not a carpet.
Weigh yourself on the same spot. An uneven surface may affect the results.
Weigh yourself without clothes, before a meal, at approximately the same time of day; ideally, in the morning.
When measuring body fat and water you have to be barefoot, and the soles of your feet must be dry.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
INSERTING THE BATTERIES
1. Open the battery compartment cover located underneath the unit (Fig.1).
2. Insert one battery type 6 LR61 (9V alkaline, supplied) in the battery compartment,
and replace the cover carefully.
3. after every battery replacement calibration of the unit is necessary: Put one foot in
the middle of the measuring surface to make the unit switch on. The „ 0000" message
will be displayed (Fig. 2). Wait until the unit switches off.
SELECTION OF WEIGHING UNITS
When switched off, set the required units (lb, st-lb, kg) using the switch located on the
underside (Fig. 3).
WEIGHING
1. Put the unit on a stable, horizontal surface.
2. Step onto the weighing surface carefully (Fig. 4). Make sure not to slide, or turn the
unit over. The result will appear on the display (Fig. 5).
3. Step off the weighing surface.
4. The unit will switch off automatically after a couple of seconds.
SETTING PERSONAL DATA IN THE MEMORY
You may save the personal data of up to 4 people in the unit's memory.
1. Put the unit on a stable, horizontal surface.
2. Push the MODE button.
3. Select your height in cm using the arrows (Fig. 6). Confirm by pushing the MODE
button.
4. Select your age using the arrows (Fig. 7) and confirm by pushing the MODE button.
5. Select your gender using the arrows (Fig. 8) and confirm by pushing the MODE
button.
