6. Maintenance instructions

6.1.

Pool water

Visible impurities are removed by the filtration system. However, this does not apply to algae, bacteria, and other
micro-organisms, which also pose a threat to clear, clean, and healthy water. Special water treatments are
available for prevention or removal. When dosed correctly, it does not pose any threat to swimmers and ensures
hygienic bathing water.
6.2.

General maintenance

There is no need for the mechanical maintenance of the pump unit. Never attempt to disassemble the motor
unit of the filter pump.

If necessary, clean the outside of the filter pump with water and mild detergent, or by rinsing it gently with a
garden hose.

The use of lubricants on the filter pump is not necessary.
▪
Do not use solvents to clean the filter pump, filter cartridge, or filter balls, as this can damage the plastic
components inside the pump.
▪
Regularly check the inlet and outlet of the filter pump for blockages.

7. Winterizing and storage

At the end of the swimming season, the filter system and hoses must be emptied and removed. You can empty
the filter tank and filter pump by opening the drain plug. Open the filter tank and take out the filter sand, glass
filter media or filter spheres. Check that the filter medium is still in good condition (not clumped) and clean it.
Dry all parts of the filter pump and hoses, and make sure the interior is completely dry as well. Storing the filter
pump or parts of it while still damp can cause mold and damage the appliance or its components. If this is the
case, the warranty will void. Make sure that the filter system is stored in a frost-free area.
