1. Make sure the housing has a level base.
2. Fit wall breakthrough or drill core hole: Min-
imum diameter, 120 mm.
ð Recommendation: Fit WH 120 wall sleeve.
Fit wall breakthrough with minimum dia-
meter 136 mm.
3. Lay the power cable up to the installation loca-
tion (surface-mounted AP or flush-mounted
UP). Observe spacing. Observe ducting length
within the housing.

7.2 Ceiling

1. Perform installation preparations as described
in Chapter Wall.
NOTICE Danger of short-circuits and damage
to unit if condensation builds up in the fan
housing.
Thermally insulate ventilation ducts properly. Al-
low for a condensation drain or condensate col-
lector in the riser.

7.3 Duct

1. Deburr edges on the inside of the duct.
NOTICE Risk of damage to flexible ducts (fol-
ded spiral-seams ducts) caused by spring
hooks.
Snap off the spring hooks prior to installation of
the flexible ducts.
2. Perform installation preparations as described
in Chapter Wall [} 18].

8 Installation and commissioning

8.1 Fan

1. Unpack unit and take off internal grille/shutter
frame.
2. To loosen, unlock both safety catches with a
screwdriver.
8 Installation and commissioning

8.2 Housing installation

NOTICE Damage to unit/functional problems
in the event of rubbing impeller.
Do not fit flange sleeve either twisted or crushed.
Make sure that the surface is flat.
1. Insert housing in wall breakthrough/wall
sleeve/duct.
2. Align housing horizontally, mark the two dowel
holes, drill the dowel holes Ø 6 mm and insert
the dowels.
NOTICE Danger of short-circuits and damage
to the unit. If the power cable is incorrectly
fed or if the cable grommet is not fitted cor-
rectly, water may penetrate into the fan hous-
ing. The degree of protection cannot be guar-
anteed.
Pierce the cable grommet so that it tightly seals
the power cable. Guide the surface-mounted or
flush-mounted cables correctly into the intended
cable grommet.
3. Carefully remove the flush-mounted or sur-
face-mounted cable grommet from the hous-
ing, then pierce a round hole in it using a
grommet puncher.
4. Insert cable grommet into housing.
5. Feed power cable into the terminal compart-
ment such that the cable grommet fits around
the cable sheathing completely and does not
penetrate too far into the terminal compart-
ment.
6. Insert housing into wall breakthrough/wall
sleeve and secure with two screws. Do not in-
sert the housing such that it is twisted or
crushed. Make sure you use mounting mater-
ial which is sized for the purpose.
