GENERAL INFORMATION
The appliance is solely intended for personal use.
l
Take into account that there may be measuring tolerances: ±0.3kg up to 50kg,
l
±0.4kg up to 100kg, ±0.5kg up to 150kg.
The percentage of body fat and water, skeletal muscle and the basal metabo-
l
lism calculated by the scale must only be considered as indicative data. Consult
a doctor for any additional information.
Through the electrodes placed on the platform, the scale sends a weak, low
l
intensity electrical current through the body mass.
Recommendations for use
In order to obtain comparable results, it is recommended to possibly weigh
l
yourself always at the same time (preferably in the morning), before breakfast
and with no clothes.
Important during measurement: the fat mass can only be calculated with bare
l
feet and if required, slightly moisten the soles.
If the soles are completely dry or calloused, the results may not be satisfactory
l
as conductivity is insufficient.
The feet must be correctly placed on the electrodes (see picture 1).
l
Keep upright and stand still during the weighing process.
l
Wait a few hours before making a measurement if you
l
have unusually exerted yourself.
Wait about 15 minutes after getting up before making
l
a measurement, to allow for the body water to be evenly
distributed.
Short term weight fluctuations over few days generally depend on a loss of
l
liquids.
Each time the appliance is moved or lifted then placed down, the first
l
weigh-in must not be considered indicative, due to the necessary settlement of
the electronic board.
Limitations
It is not advisable for the following persons to use the scale because the data it
measures may not be reliable:
bearers of pace-maker or other electronic medical materials;
l
very fit people or bodybuilders;
l
people with fever, undergoing dialysis, with symptoms of oedema or suffering
l
from osteoporosis;
children under 10 years of age;
l
pregnant women;
l
people who take medications for the cardiovascular system;
l
people who take vasodilators or vasoconstrictors;
l
people with anatomical abnormalities of the legs that affect their height
l
(significantly longer or shorter legs than average).
