SAFETY WARNINGS
Before using the appliance, carefully read the instructions for use,
especially the safety warnings, and adhere to them. This manual must
be considered as being part of the product and must be retained throughout
its service life. Should the appliance be handed to another owner, the entire
documentation should also be provided. In the event of mislaying the manual
or need for more information or clarifications, contact the company at the
address provided on the last page.
Before using the product ensure the appliance is intact without any visible

damage. In case of doubt do not use the appliance and contact your dealer.
Keep the plastic bag of the packaging out of the reach of children: suffocation
l
hazard.
This appliance is solely intended for the use it has been designed for and
l
in the manner indicated in the operating instructions. Any other use shall be
considered misuse hence hazardous. The manufacturer shall not be liable for
any damage arising from misuse or incorrect use.
This appliance may be used independently by children no younger than 10.

This appliance may be used by people with impaired physical, sensorial or

mental abilities or by inexperienced people, only if they have been instructed
on safe use beforehand and only if informed on the hazards arising from the
appliance. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance

In the event of fault or malfunction, switch off the appliance without tampering

with it. Always contact your dealer for any repairs.

Handle the scale with care, protect it from impact, extreme temperature
l
changes, humidity, dust, direct sunlight and heat sources.
DO NOT let any liquid penetrate the body of the scale. Never immerse the scale
l
in water. Never rinse under running water. This appliance is not waterproof.
DO NOT leave and DO NOT use the scale in water-saturated premises. Moisture
l
exceeding 85% or contact with water or other liquids may cause corrosion and
undermine proper operation of the device.
Do not expose the appliance to impact, dust, chemical products, significant
l
temperature changes and excessive proximity to heat sources (ovens, radiators).
DO NOT use aggressive detergents and never immerse the appliance in water.
l
DO NOT place any object on the scale when not in use.
l
DO NOT step on the scale with wet feet or if its surface is wet: slipping hazard.

WARNINGS ON THE USE OF BATTERIES
Remove the batteries if the scale is not used for extended periods of time and
l
store them in a cool and dry place at room temperature.
DO NOT recharge the batteries if not rechargeable.
l
DO NOT recharge the batteries (if rechargeable) with methods other than
l
indicated in the manual provided with them or using inadequate equipment
not indicated in the battery supplier documentation.
NEVER expose the batteries to heat sources and to direct sunlight.
l
Failure to comply with this indication may damage the batteries or cause them
to explode.
Explosion hazard! DO NOT throw batteries in the fire.

Use the correct type of battery and replace them in pairs.
l
The batteries must be removed or replaced by adults.
l
Keep the batteries out of the reach of children: swallowing batteries is a death
l
hazard. In the event of swallowing immediately seek medical attention.
The acid contained in the batteries is corrosive. Avoid contact with the skin,
l
eyes or clothes. If the battery liquid comes in contact with the skin or eyes, rinse
immediately the parts concerned with water and consult a doctor.
If the liquid leaks out of the battery, wear protective gloves and clean the
l
battery compartment with a dry cloth. Dispose of cleaning materials.
