Network configuration

LAN configuration
No configuration is necessary with a hard wired network with a DHCP server because the
Monitor obtains all necessary information from the network. The configuration can be altered
manually but this may lead to malfunction.
In order to change the configuration data of the LAN connection, first log in to the device (see
Chapter 8: Menu) and then proceed as follows:
To ensure that the information is no longer obtained automatically from the network, the DHCP
setting must be altered by pressing the Enter key to confirm "true" or "false". After this all LAN
settings can be altered manually using the virtual keypad. After the required changes have
been made, the selection "Accept" must be confirmed with Enter.

WLAN configuration

In order to connect the Smart Energy Monitor with a wireless network, first log in to the device
(see Chapter 8: Menu) and proceed as follows:
Within the "Config WiFi" menu confirm the "Scan" selection with Enter so that the device
searches for wireless networks in the surrounding area. The names of the networks found are
displayed and can be selected with the Enter key. After a network has been selected, the
network key must be entered in the "Config WiFi" menu under the "Password" option. After
confirmation of the password, the device connects and automatically obtains further
information via the network. If this is not required, please proceed as for the LAN configuration.
