4.1.2 Installation by qualified electrician
The Smart Energy Monitor may only be installed by a recognized electrician. The electrician will
also assume responsibility for the correct installation and putting into service.
4.1.3 Avoiding physical injury
Observe all safety information attached to the packaging and the device when handling the
Smart Energy Monitor. Before putting into operation and regularly during operation, check that
the device and the accessories are not damaged. In cases of doubt, consult an electrician
about the perfect condition of the technical parts. If the Smart Energy Monitor is damaged or if
repairs are necessary, have them seen to exclusively by authorised persons.
Do not open the Smart Energy Monitor! Removing or damaging the enclosure may expose
energized parts and impair the function of the device. This will also cancel the warranty!
4.1.4 Avoiding damage to the Smart Energy Meter
The Smart Energy Monitor has the type of protection IP20 and is exclusively suitable for
installation in dry, dust-free indoor areas. Protect the device from dust, humidity, aggressive
substances and vapours. The ambient temperature must be between -10°C and +45°C.
Do not touch any electronic components or connections in the Smart
Energy Monitor because this can cause damage or destruction. Earth
yourself before working on the device.
If there's damage or destruction on Smart Energy Monitor this is to take out of service
immediately by a specialist. Only operate the Smart Energy Monitor if the device is in a
technically perfect condition. Always consult a qualified electrician if the device shows error
messages.
