7 • Mounting for application with balustrade: IM 7B
A saw cut was made in the side guiding channel at the height of the balustrade. The saw cut
ensures that the side guiding channel can be easily (un-)installed during service.
The side guiding channel is installed slightly differently for a balustrade application than for
IM 7B; however, the other steps are identical.
Balustrade side guiding channel D: the side guiding channel is installed behind the balustrade
profile on the window profile or in the window frame side.

Screw the front parts of the deep side guiding channel.
It is necessary to use a ratchet wrench
for (un-)installing the middle part of
the side channel for a balustrade
application.

Please note!
For defective motors with a fully retracted bottom bar and
where the screen is of a height of up to 2.8 m, it may be
impossible to remove the fabric without cutting due to the
thickness of the fabric tube kit. However, if the fabric tube kit
can be removed, the fabric guide profile must be removed
first. For easy removal, start at the side of the profile.

First install the front part of the

balustrade. As it is smaller than
the front part of the deep side
guiding channel that is placed
above the balustrade, it can
easily be slid into place behind
the balustrade from above.
