Timer with Message Storage
Item-No. 67 22 93
Intended Use
In addition to the standard countdown function, this timer also has two message stores. It is possible to
set a countdown up to a max. 99 minutes and 59 seconds. An alarm sounds, once this time has elapsed.
You can leave messages or other important information for other people using the two message stores.
Any use other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product. The product may
not be altered or converted.
All the safety and operating instructions in this manual must be followed carefully. Please read the entire
operating manual before using the product. Always retain it for later reference.
Explanation of the Symbols
The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during handling, operation
and control.
The "Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these
safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for damage to property and injury
to persons caused by mishandling or non-compliance with the safety instructions!
The product may not be altered or converted. In such cases the warranty will be null
and void.
General Safety Instructions
• If you have any doubts about the correct operation, or the safety of the device, please
consult a specialist.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous playthings for
children.
• If you sell this product or give it away, you must hand over these operating instructions.
• Please observe the additional safety instructions in the individual chapters of this manual.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a specialist or a specia-
lised repair shop.
• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual, please contact our
technical customer service.
Product Specific Safety Instructions
• This product must not be exposed to high mechanical pressure.
• Falls from a low height can damage the product.
• This product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations, moisture
or heavy mechanical stress.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the product requires some time to adjust to the sur-
rounding temperature. Wait until the components have adjusted to the ambient tempe-
rature before use.
• If safe operation is no longer possible, take the device out of service and secure it
against unintended use.
Battery Safety Information
• Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.
• Remove the batteries, if you are not going to use the device for a while, to prevent damage
from leaking.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause acid burns on contact
with the skin. Thus, you should wear protective gloves when handling damaged batte-
ries.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed
by children or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Ensure that the batteries are never short-circuited, taken apart or thrown into a fire.
There is a risk of explosion!
• For the correct disposal of batteries, please read the chapter "Disposal".
Operation
Countdown Timer
• Insert the batteries into the battery compartment (see also chapter Replacing the Batteries).
• "00:00" appears in the display.
• Set the desired minutes, using the "MINUTE" key at the top of the timer. A time span of 1 to 99 minutes
is possible.
• Set the desired seconds, using the "SEC" key at the top of the timer. A time span of 1 to 59 seconds
is possible.
When using the "MINUTE" and "SEC" keys, you can either repeatedly press the key or
keep the key pressed - the minutes or seconds change automatically until you release the
key.
• Press the "START/STOP" key, to start the countdown timer.

• An alarm sounds for approx. 30 seconds, when the time has elapsed.
• Press either the "MINUTE", "SEC" or "START/STOP" key, to switch off the alarm.
• If you want to stop or pause the countdown, please press either "MINUTE", "SEC" or "START/STOP".

• If you want to resume after a pause, please press the "START/STOP" key.
• If you want to delete the set time, please press the keys "MINUTE" and "SEC" at the same time. The
timer returns to its original setting "00:00".
Message Storage
For recording messages, information or notes, two message stores,with a recording time of 5 seconds
each, are available.
• Keep the key "REC1" or "REC2" pressed, while recording.
• A beep and a red LED signal the start.
• A double beep signals the end of the recording time.
• A red flashing LED indicates that a new message has been saved.
• Press either key "PLAY1" or "PLAY2", to play the message.
• The red LED is lit during playback and goes out afterwards.
• Each newly recorded message overwrites the previous message.
• Saved messages are lost when changing the batteries.
Set Up and Installation
There is a rubber surface at the bottom of the timer, which provides a non-slip stand.
The timer can also be attached to metal objects by using the magnets on its back. Do not attach the pro-
duct to sensitive surfaces (it could possibly cause damage i.e. scratches).
Maintenance and Cleaning
• This Timer does not need any servicing, with the exception of replacing the battery. Externally, the
device should only be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth or a dry brush.
• Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals as these will damage the timer.
Replacing the Battery
• Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
• Remove the flat batteries and insert three new 1.5V alkaline micro batteries (AAA), paying attention
to the correct polarity.
• Replace the cover on the battery compartment.

• Do not press the keys "REC1" and "REC2" at the same time. This will distort the recor-
ding.
• A humming sound after inserting the batteries is normal.
• To achieve the best possible recording quality, hold the microphone, labelled "MIC", as
close to your mouth as possible.
Products and devices that are marked with the following symbol must not be disposed of
in the household waste. You are obliged to dispose of them separately. Please check with
your municipality about the correct disposal facilities.
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used
batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disposal in the domestic waste is prohibited!
Batteries/accumulators containing harmful substances are marked with the symbols oppo-
site. You can dispose of your used batteries free of charge at your municipality's collec-
tion point or any place where batteries are sold!
