Initializing Network Settings

To initialize the network settings on the machine, follow these steps.
Important
Note that initialization erases all connection settings with computers, disabling printing. After initializing the
network settings, connect the machine and your computer with a USB cable and set up the machine again.
Initializing using the Operation Panel

Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the machine.

Press the HOME button.

Select Settings, then press the OK button.

Select Device settings, then press the OK button.

Select LAN settings, then press the OK button.

Select Reset LAN settings, then press the OK button.
Initializing with the Canon IJ Network Tool

Connect the machine and your computer with a USB cable.

Turn on the machine.

Start up the Canon IJ Network Tool.

How to start up the Canon IJ Network Tool
In Windows, double-click the Canon IJ Network Tool icon on the desktop. Otherwise, follow the
procedure below.
1. Click Start > All programs (or Programs).
2. Select Canon IJ Network Utilities > Canon IJ Network Tool > Canon IJ Network
Tool.
In Macintosh, follow the procedure below.
1. Start up the Printer Setup Utility (if you are using Mac OS X v.10.2.8, Print Center).
2. Select the target printer and click Utility.
3. Select Network in the pop-up menu.
4. Select the target printer and click Network Settings. The Configuration dialog box
on the Canon IJ Network Tool is displayed.

In Windows, select the machine to be initialized.

Select Maintenance on the Settings menu.
