Select Setup in the Canon IJ Network Tool
pop-up menu, and click Register Printer.
Note
If the Canon IJ Network Tool does not start up
automatically, select Applications on the Go menu,
double-click the Utilities folder, double-click the
Printer Setup Utility icon, and then go to step 7.
If you are using Mac OS X v.10.2.8, double-click the
Utilities folder, double-click the Print Center icon, and
then go to step 7.

Click Cancel.
The Printer Setup Utility (Printer Center on Mac OS
X v.10.2.8) and Canon IJ Network Scanner
Selector will start up.

Confirm that your machine is added to the list
of printers.
Note
If the machine does not appear on the list, click Add
and select MP600R in the list of printers and
click Add.
After confirming that the machine is added to the list, quit the Printer Setup Utility (Print
Center).

On the Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector,
click Exit.
Note
Do not click Apply.
You don't have to register your machine here
unless you are using it over a wireless or wired
LAN.
Note
To view the on-screen manual, double-click the MP600R On-screen Manual icon on the
desktop.
If you are using Mac OS v.10.2.8 to v.10.3.x, to save scanned documents to your USB-
connected computer using the Operation Panel on the machine, you need to set MP Navigator
as the starting application software in Image Capture in the Applications folder.
For details, refer to the User's Guide on-screen manual.
When using Mac OS X v.10.2.8 to v.10.3.3:
Restarting the computer while connected to the machine may cause the machine not to be
detected. To resolve this, either unplug the USB cable then plug it back in again, or turn the
machine off then back on again.
