Operating Modes CMx2 DisplayPort
The CMx2 DisplayPort media converter provides two modes of
operation, which can be set via the mode switch.

Possible Operation Errors CMx2 DisplayPort

Error Possible reasons
LED is off The devices do not get any
power
Green, steady flashing 1.) The module detects an
on the receiver open fiber connection
2.) The fiber optic cable is too
long, or has increased attenua-
tion values
Green, steady flashing HPD (Hot-Plug-Detect) monitor
on the transmitter signal is declared low
LED goes out (2-3 sec.) EDID transmission error
Then flashing on the
receiver
LED goes out (2-3 sec.) EDID transmission error
Then flashing on the
transmitter
