6.1

Troubleshooting

6.1.1 If the ri-thermo
cleaning / disinfecting and reconnecting the probe, clean the battery
contacts and the contacts of the thermometer probe connector with a dry
cloth.
6.1.2 If the ri-thermo
auto enter to alarming mode, and the corresponding error codes will display.
6.2

Device error codes

6.2.1 P01 Probe miss
6.2.2 P02 Pt > 55°C
6.2.3 P03 HT > 55°C
6.2.4 P04 In 10s Pt or Ht can't be heated over 30°C
6.2.5 E05 Pt calibration error (use in calibration)
6.2.6 E06 HT calibration error (use in calibration)
6.2.7 E07 System timer error
6.2.8 E09 LCD error (We can only hear the alarm. The screen can't be displayed.)
6.2.9 E11 System flash error Icon display of ambient temperature too high (40°C)

Technical measurement check

7.1

Germany

Pursuant to the ordinance on Operating Medical Devices (Medizinprodukte- Be-
treiberverordung, MPBetreibV), a technical check must be conducted every two ye-
ars. The check can only be conducted by the manufacturer, who is the appropriate
authorities or persons who comply with the requirements of MPBetreibV §6.

European Union outside of Germany

The respective legal provisions apply for all EU countries outside of Germany.

The probe accuracy can be checked using a calibrated water bath (the probe cover
must be attached!).
Thermometers which are out of the error threshold must be checked in direct mea-
suring mode.

- Take care when cleaning and disinfecting the thermometer
and the probe, so that no liquid penetrates into the interior.
- Never place the ri-thermo

- The thermometer is shipped non-sterile. DO NOT use ethy-
lene oxide gas, heat, autoclave or any other harsh methods
to sterilize the unit.
- The devices are not meant to undergo machine-processed
maintenance and sterilization. This could lead to irreversible
damage!
- The probe cover is only single use suitable!
For all reusable devices, if there are any signs of material de-
gradation, the device should no longer be reused and should
be disposed/claimed following the procedure mentioned under
Disposal / Warranty.
