a manufacturing defect. TAG Heuer may alternatively, at its own
discretion, decide to replace or refund your TAG Heuer Connected
Watch. This International Limited Guarantee is only honored in
official TAG Heuer Customer Service Centers (the list and contact
details of those centers can be found on http://customer-service.
tagheuer.com).
The International Limited Guarantee covers any function defect
arising during normal use of the product in accordance with the
TAG Heuer Connected Watch's and accessories' technical speci-
fications and user manuals, as well as any non-arguable quality
defects on the cosmetics or product mechanical functions that
are obviously coming from a component quality problem or
TAG Heuer Connected Watch mis-assembly by TAG Heuer. This
could be, for instance power on/off issue, charging issue, display
malfunction, impossibility to use normally applications or watch
functions due to your TAG Heuer Connected Watch defect.
This International Limited Guarantee can be enforced in the coun-
tries where the TAG Heuer Connected Watch and its accessories
are distributed.
In addition, certain limiting conditions do apply and for this reason
it is essential that you read the paragraphs below.
What is not covered?
Damage resulting from service provided anywhere other than at
an official TAG Heuer Customer Service Center is not covered and
shall void the International Limited Guarantee.
As mentioned above, the International Limited Guarantee does
not cover (i) function defects which do not arise during normal
use of the TAG Heuer Connected Watch and its accessories in
accordance with their technical specifications and user manuals,
and (ii) quality defects on the cosmetics or mechanical functions
that are not obviously coming from a component quality problem
or TAG Heuer Connected Watch mis-assembly. In particular, the
International Limited Guarantee does not apply if there has been
improper or inadequate use of your TAG Heuer Connected Watch
or its accessories, including where an attempt to modify the TAG
Heuer Connected Watch software has been performed or where
your TAG Heuer Connected Watch (or as applicable its accessories):
• has been opened by you or any other person having not been
authorized by TAG Heuer to do so;
• has been connected to non-recommended accessories such
as other battery type or charger;
• has been degraded or used out of the rules for product start-up
or usage such as wrong plug-in or has been exposed to ex-
tra voltage or electric discharges, important shocks, drop or
abnormal mechanical stress leading to degradation of the
product housing, electronic components;
• has been aesthetically or functionally damaged, as a result of
a misuse of any non-charging accessory during the assembly
process;
• has been exposed (and in particular its screen) to cosmetic or
cleaning products like wipes, sun cream, cream;
• has been exposed to water, liquids other than water, or other
chemical substances (presence of corrosion, humidity), in a
manner not consistent with the usage instructions (including
the Safety and Handling Information) of your product;
• has been exposed to high or low temperatures or other
extreme environmental conditions. In this respect, the TAG
Heuer Connected Watch (watch and dock/charger) shall not
be operated or stored at temperatures below -20 °C (-4 °F) and
above 50 °C (122 °F) and shall not be charged at temperatures
below 0 °C (32 °F) and above 45 °C (113 °F).
The International Limited Guarantee also does not cover:
• crystals and batteries, or
• any damage to the case or hardware due to moisture that might
have entered your TAG Heuer Connected Watch as a result of
improper handling;
• the normal wear and aging of your TAG Heuer Connected Watch
and its accessories due to normal usage. This is especially the
case for:
- any surface degradation due to normal usage of the product,
scratches on case, strap, crystal, buckle, dust intrusion or de-
graded surfaces, change of color of parts due to exposition
to solar radiation or contact with any chemical substance;
- degradation of autonomy performance due to battery nor-
mal aging.
Additional information about TAG Heuer Connected Watch
material
Some of our TAG Heuer Connected Watches have design features
highlighted by a fine electro-plated gold or titanium carbide
coating. Sensitive to friction on hard, rough surfaces, this thin
layer of gold or titanium carbide can wear out over time. The
International Limited Guarantee does not cover the alteration
of this thin layer by an impact or mishandling. Under normal
conditions of use, the coating on your TAG Heuer watch will fully
satisfy your requirements.
