Commissioning

The system was fully tested before delivery and set to
the previously specified container size.
NOTE
Ensure that all screws and hoses are
tightened properly (leaks).
• Remove all packaging from the system before
putting it into operation.
• Set the control lever (Fig. B/no. 5) to the holding
position-.
• Connect the system to the compressed air supply
(Fig. F/no. 12).
• Open the shutoff valve (Fig. F/no. 12)-
• Check the pneumatic pressure on the pressure
gage.

Factory default settings

The pump pressure is set to 4 bar at the factory
(Fig. F/no. 14).
The follower plate pressure is set to 0.5 bar at the
factory (Fig. F/no. 15).
NOTE
To adjust the pneumatic pressure,
pull the adjusting knob on the

Operation

Loading the container
The first time a container is loaded, the two container
centerings, if present (Fig. D/no. 10) on the base
frame have to be centered.
1. Set the control lever (Fig. B/no. 5) to the lifting
position .
2. Move the follower plate up until the ram
(Fig. A/no. 1) is fully extended (mechanical stop).
3. Slide the container centerings (Fig. D/no. 10) on
the base plate out to the stop.
4. Place the container so it is centered under the
follower plate (Fig. E/no. 11).
5. Set the control lever (Fig. B/no. 5) to the lowering
position and lower the ram until the follower
plate (Fig. E/no. 11) is just above the container (do
not move it into the container), then set the control
lever (Fig. B/no. 5) back to the holding position.
The lowering speed of the follower plate can be
adjusted with the choke valve (Fig. I/no. 19).
6. Center the container relative to the follower plate
again.
7. Slide the container centerings (Fig. D/no. 10)
against the container and firmly tighten them.
DANGER
Don't touch the edge of the container
or reach into the container under any
circumstances while lowering the
follower piston plate.
NOTE
• Ensuring absolute cleanliness is
essential when opening a new
container! Only clean material may
be used. Don't turn the lid over
above the open container!
• Only use containers filled by the
lubricant manufacturer! Containers
which are filled or decanted in-
house often contain air bubbles
which can cause malfunctions.
• Containers with dents or other
deformations must not be used.
This would result in damage to the
follower piston plate and leaks.
