Installation and connection

5.1

Preparing for installation

Quasi-flush mountable sensors require a space behind the
active surface which is free of conductive installation
materials. The minimum permissible distance between the
sensor surface and installation material is designated
dimension X (see Fig. 5-1). The dimension X is 1 mm.
The deviation in the effective operating distance associated
with the installation is maximum 10%.

Installation

► Install the sensor so that it is protected from
electromagnetic fields and mechanical damage.
