4.1

Construction

Electrical Connection: ´The electrical connection is made
using a connector.
Housing: M18 brass threaded pipe with plastic cap

Function

The BAW inductive distance sensors supply an IO-Link
output signal which changes in relation to the distance
from a metallic target. Workpieces (targets) of variable
shape and size made of ferrous or nonferrous metals
attenuate the sensor in different ways. This allows
positions, distances and material variants to be detected in
a very simple manner.
4.3

LED display

An LED indicates the operating states of the sensor.
LED Operating state
Off Target is within the measuring range.
On Target is outside the measuring range.
