Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet, the power cord must be
completely unwound.
•
The appliance switches to operating mode, a signal sound and program 1,
"Herbal", appears in the display.
Caution: If you do not press any button within the next minute, the appliance
switches to standby mode and display goes out. In this case, you just have to
lift the glass jug and disconnect it from the base, „Herbal" will appear on the
display again and the appliance is back in operating mode. Place the jug back
on the base.
N O TE
Operating mode is either the return to program 1, "Herbal" (the first tea
variety in the program), or to the last set program when you lift the glass jug
and disconnect it from the base during a program.
Standby mode means that the appliance is connected to the power, how-
ever no button has been pressed for more than 1 minute (if no program is
activated) and the appliance has thus switched to power saving mode. The
appliance also switches to standby mode 1 minute after completing the
warm-keeping function. In standby mode, the display is dark and without
statement.
Note: Should the appliance be in standby mode, you can return the appliance
to operating mode by briefly pressing a button or by lifting the jug and placing
it back on the base.

3. Selecting programme/function
Note: The standby mode can be switched to selection-mode by pressing any button (except BOILING button).
• The display shows programme selection 1 "Herbal".
• Choose between the different preset programs by pressing the "MENU" button.
• It is possible to switch between the display of temperature and time by pressing the "TIME/TEMP" button.
• The display will return to show the temperature after about 4 seconds.
