Programming of Controller

The controller used has to be set
up at first operation. This setup is
done by Tyco Thermal Controls.
The programmed values are given
in the [bracket] next to the pro-
gramming steps. The only thing
the operator usually needs to pro-
gram is the set value. The neces-
sary steps to program the control-
ler are given here, for further de-
tails please refer to the separate
operation manual for the ISOPAD
ICon4848 controller.
There are three levels for configu-
ration available:
1.

"Working Level":

for setting the set-value
2.

"Configuration Level":

for setting all required
configurations
(limits, alarm etc.)
3.

System parameters:

for change from °C to °F
1. Working Level
The working level is always active.
To change the set-value press
button p or q .
Configuration Level
If you whish to change parameters
in the configuration level we rec-
ommend only to change the fol-
lowing ones. Other parameters
Press MODE-button longer than 2 sec. The display shows "SET 1" in
the PV-(process value) window and "1" in the SV- (set value) window.
The controller is shown under „Controller Front View" (pg.28).
2. Configuration Level
The configuration level is described
in the next chapter.
3. System Parameters
Operators are asked only to change
one system parameter: the tempera-
ture scale. If you wish to change
from °C to °F you have to do it here.
Never change other parameters,
as the controller will not work
correctly in the following!
To change the temperature scale
press MODE button longer than
5 seconds. It will first change into
the configuration level – stay on the
button – it then changes to the con-
figuration level. The first parameter
is the scale – change it by using the
buttons p or q .
After a certain while the controller
jumps back to working level
automatically. You can return
directly by manually pressing the
button MODE for longer than
2 sec.
