Cleaning the motor protection filter

To maintain optimal performance, clean the motor protection filter at least once a year.

Pull the cover upwards to open it (Fig. 10).

Lift the dustbag out of the appliance (Fig. 11).

Pull the filter holder with the motor protection filter out of the appliance (Fig. 12).

Take the motor protection filter out of the holder and shake the motor protection filter over a dustbin
to clean it.

Put the filter in the filter holder and slide the filter holder back into the appliance.

Put the dustbag back into the appliance, and close the cover.

Emptying the reusable washable dustbag (specific countries only)

In some countries, this vacuum cleaner comes with a reusable washable dustbag. You can use this dustbag instead
of disposable dustbags. To remove and insert the reusable dustbag, follow the instructions in chapter 'Replacing
the dustbag'.
To empty the dustbag:

Slide the clip off the dustbag sideways.

Shake out the contents into a dustbin.

To close the dustbag, slide the clip back onto the bottom edge of the dustbag.

Switch off and unplug the appliance, and press the cord rewind button to rewind the cord (Fig. 13).

Put the appliance in upright position. To attach the nozzle to the appliance, insert the ridge on the nozzle
into the storage slot.
Note: To ensure stable storage of the telescopic tube, adjust the tube to the shortest length.
Replacement
The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before cleaning or maintaining the appliance.
Replacing the disposable dustbag

Replace the dustbag as soon as the dustbag-full indicator has changed colour permanently, i.e. even when
the nozzle is not placed on the floor (Fig. 14).

Pull the cover upwards to open it and tilt the dustbag holder forward. (Fig. 10)

Pull at the cardboard tag to remove the full dustbag from the holder (Fig. 15).
When you do this, the dustbag is sealed automatically.

Slide the cardboard front of the new dustbag into the two grooves of the dustbag holder as far as
possible (Fig. 16).

Tilt the dustbag holder backward (Fig. 17).
Note: If no dustbag has been inserted, you cannot close the cover.

Push the cover downwards to close it.
