»Open access« operating mode
By default, the »Open access« operating mode is activated on the KVM switch. In
this mode, user login to the OSD is disabled. Thus, everyone working on this con-
sole uses the same settings.
IMPORTANT:
In Open Access mode, the KVM switch is not protected by a password.
You can also use the web application to change the operating mode of the KVM
switch. In the default mode, users need to log on to the OSD. All users use their
individual access data and settings.
Logging on to the KVM switch in standard operating
mode
After switching on the console, the KVM switch asks you to log on.
IMPORTANT:
Change the administrator account's default password.
When first starting the on-screen display, log on with the administrator account
and change the password.
The access data to the administrator account are:
 Username:
 Password:
NOTE: The default admin password of devices manufactured before October 2020
is 4658 .
How to log on to the KVM switch:
1. Enter the following information in the login mask:
Username: Enter a username.
Password: Enter a password for your user account.
2. Press Enter to log in and to open the on-screen display.
HINWEIS: If the Default execution (see page 46) function is activated for a user
account, the switching/script execution selected in the Personal Profile menu is exe-
cuted immediately after the user logs on.
In this case, restart the on-screen display (see page 21) to open the Select menu.
