Please read the instructions carefully to ensure that you receive maximum performance and reliability.
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Mode 3: Brake
This parameter adjusts the maximum amount of braking which is applied when
the brakes are used. You can use a lower value for rough or slippery surfaces and
a higher value for smooth and high-grip surfaces.
Mode 4: Drag brake
Use this parameter to adjust the amount of brake to be applied when the throt-
tle is returned to neutral. This can improve the feeling while driving the car and
releasing the throttle.
Mode 5: Timing
Timing is used to change the motor characteristics. A lower timing value improves
the efficiency and gives a smoother throttle response. A higher timing value
increases performance, but at the expense of efficiency and smoothness. Be
aware that using excessive timing with certain motors can damage the motor
and/or the controller.
Mode 6: Neutral deadband
The neutral deadband modifies the ESC's response to the transmitters throttle
input around the neutral point. A higher value means that you will have to move
the throttle further from the neutral point for the car to move forward, backward
or brake. A lower value will make the ESC more sensitive to throttle inputs around
the neutral point.
Mode 7: Operation mode
Use this parameter to adjust the controller for forward only or forward and reverse
operation.

Please note:
• The ESC needs a minimum of 4.0 volts to function. Therefore when using low
power batteries, 4-cell NiMH/NiCd packs or high performance motors, the
low voltage cut-off system might activate and limit the power delivery to the
motor. Using the no low voltage cut-off parameter can help to fix this type of
issue, but certain types of batteries can be damaged if they are discharged
too far.
• Before you run the car, the transmitter should always be switched on before
the ESC. After you have run the car, the ESC should always be turned off after
the ESC has been turned off.
• When you are storing your car, always disconnect the battery.
WARNINGS
• Keep away from children.
• Do not let children use this product without adult supervision.
• During and after use the ESC's heat sink can become very hot, do not touch
the ESC with your hands.
• The ESC requires good cooling; do not wrap it inside plastic, etc...
• Always re-check your connections before powering up the ESC.
• Avoid short-circuits and polarity reversals.
• Do not try to open the ESC case.
• Do not let foreign materials, solid or liquid enter the ESC's case.
• Only use compatible batteries and motors with the ESC.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Car runs backwards:
Reverse any two of the three wires connecting the ESC to the motor.

Forward/Reverse
Forward only
Car goes faster in reverse than forward:
Switch off the ESC; use the throttle reverse function of the transmitter and repeat
ESC transmitter calibration.
The ESC LED do not light up when switched on:
• Transmitter is switched off.
• Transmitter and/or receiver are defective.
• Battery is empty or defective.
• ESC is defective.
Car stutters:
• Transmitter and/or receiver are defective.
• Motor wires improperly connected.
• Battery is empty, defective or cannot supply enough power.
• Battery low voltage cut-off system active.
• ESC is defective.
Orange LED flashing, motor and/or ESC overheating:
• Use a smaller pinion (shorter gearing).
• Make sure the transmission runs freely.
• Ambient temperature is too high.
• Insufficient cooling.
• Inappropriate ESC settings.
• Low quality or damaged battery.
• ESC is defective.
Red/green or red/orange LED flashing:
Battery low voltage cut-off system active, replace or recharge battery.
