1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Dieses hochauflösende Farbkameramodul mit Exview-Chip,
3fachem Digitalzoom, automatischem elektronischen Ver-
schluss, Gegenlichtkompensation und automatischer Ver-
stärkungsregelung (AGC) ist speziell zur Video-Überwa-
chung (CCTV) konzipiert. Um bei Tageslicht eine optimale
Farbqualität zu erhalten, ist ein IR-Sperrfilter vorgeschaltet.
Bei Dunkelheit wird das Sperrfilter gegen eine Korrekturlinse
zur Verbesserung der Schärfe gewechselt und die Kamera
schaltet auf Schwarzweißwiedergabe um (Nachtbetrieb).
2 Wichtige Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Modul ist nach der EMV-Richtlinie 89/336/EWG (EMV
= Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit) aufgebaut. Damit es
auch im Betrieb diese Richtlinie erfüllt, muss es in ein ab-
geschirmtes Gehäuse eingesetzt und der Videoausgang
über eine abgeschirmte Leitung angeschlossen werden.
Wird die EMV-Richtlinie nicht eingehalten, erlischt die Kon-
formitätserklärung.
Schützen Sie das Modul vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser,
hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztempe-
raturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
Schützen Sie das Objektiv unbedingt vor Staub und sons-
tiger Verschmutzung. Berühren Sie es auf gar keinen Fall
mit den Fingern. Zur Reinigung können handelsübliche
Mittel für optische Linsen verwendet werden.
Wird das Modul zweckentfremdet, falsch angeschlossen
oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann keine Haftung für
daraus resultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden und
keine Garantie für das Modul übernommen werden.
Soll das Modul endgültig aus dem Betrieb genom-
men werden, übergeben Sie es zur umweltgerech-
ten Entsorgung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.

1 Applications
This high-resolution colour camera module with Exview chip,
3-fold digital zoom, automatic electronic shutter, backlight
compensation, and automatic gain control (AGC) is specially
designed for video surveillance (CCTV). For an optimum
colour quality by daylight, an IR suppression filter is placed in
front of the lens. When darkness falls, the suppression filter
will be replaced by a correction lens to improve the sharpness
and the camera will switch to black-and-white reproduction
(night mode).
2 Safety Notes
The module is designed according to the directive for elec-
tromagnetic compatibility 89/336/EEC. In order to meet
the requirements of this directive also during operation, it
must be inserted into a screened housing and the video
output must be connected via a screened cable. If the EMC
directive is not observed, the declaration of conformity will
be invalid.
Protect the module against dripping water and splash
water, high air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tem-
perature range 0 – 40 °C).
Always protect the lens against dust and other impurities.
Never touch the lens with your fingers. For cleaning, com-
mercial cleansing agents for optical lenses may be used.
No guarantee claims for the module and no liability for any
resulting personal damage or material damage will be
accepted if the module is used for other purposes than ori-
ginally intended, if it is not correctly connected or not re-
paired in an expert way.
If the module is to be put out of operation definitive-
ly, take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal
which is not harmful to the environment.

3 Anschluss des Kameramoduls
Das Modul über die Buchse CN4 anschließen:

1) Den Videoausgang über ein 75-Ω-Koaxialkabel mit dem
Videoeingang eines Monitors verbinden: Den gelben An-
schlussdraht an die Kabelseele und den schwarzen Draht
an die Abschirmung des Koaxialkabels anschließen.
2) Ein stabilisiertes 12-V-Netzgerät (z. B. PS-500ST von
MONACOR) mit dem roten (+12 V) und schwarzen Draht
(Masse) verbinden. Dabei auf die richtige Polung achten.
3) Über die grüne Steuerleitung am Pin 5 können folgende
Funktionen fernbedient werden:
AGC ein- und ausschalten;
Heranzoomen, Wegzoomen;
Wechsel zwischen Farbwiedergabe, S/W-Wiedergabe
und automatischem Umschalten;
Gegenlichtkompensation (BLC) ein- und ausschalten;
Flimmerkompensation (FLK) ein- und ausschalten
Dazu sechs Taster über die in der Abb. angegebenen
Widerstände anschließen.
4 Inbetriebnahme
Wichtig! Damit die automatische Umschaltung zwischen
Tag- und Nachtbetrieb korrekt arbeiten kann, muss auf den
Sensor (a) Umgebungslicht einfallen können.
1) Mit den 6 DIP-Schaltern (Position SW1) ist das Modul vor-
eingestellt, siehe Abb. unten. Diese Schalter bestimmen
den Betriebszustand nach dem Anlegen der Betriebs-

1) Connect the video output via a 75 Ω coaxial cable to the
video input of a monitor: Connect the yellow wire to the
cable core and the black wire to the screening of the
coaxial cable.
2) Connect a regulated 12 V power supply unit (e. g.
MONACOR PS-500ST) to the red wire (+12 V) and the
black wire (ground). Observe the correct polarity.
3) Via the green control line at pin 5, the following functions
may be remote-controlled:
Activation/deactivation of AGC
Zooming in, zooming out
Change-over between colour reproduction, B/W repro-
duction, and automatic selection
Activation/deactivation of backlight compensation (BLC)
Activation/deactivation of flicker compensation (FLK)
For this purpose, connect six momentary pushbutton
switches via the resistors shown in the figure below.
4 Operation
Important! For correct operation of the automatic day and
night mode selection, make sure that ambient light will fall on
the sensor (a).
1) The module is preset by means of the 6 DIP switches
(position SW1), see figure below. These switches define
the operating state after applying the operating voltage. If

spannung. Bei Bedarf kann die Gegenlichtkompensation
(BLC) und die Flimmerkompensation (FLK) eingeschaltet
sowie die AGC ausgeschaltet werden. Der Zoomfaktor
lässt sich mit den Schaltern 1 und 2 ändern. Eine Ände-
rung des Zoomfaktors wird jedoch erst nach dem Aus-
und Wiedereinschalten des Moduls wirksam. Der Schal-
ter 3 (ELC) ist optimal für das eingebaute Objektiv einge-
stellt und sollte nicht verändert werden.
2) Nach dem Videoanschluss und dem Anlegen der 12-V-
Versorgungsspannung ist das Modul betriebsbereit. Die
Schutzkappe des Objektivs abnehmen und das Modul
genau auf den Überwachungsbereich ausrichten.
3) Wird das zu überwachende Objekt nicht scharf abgebil-
det, die Fokuseinstellung korrigieren: Die kleine Schraube
(b) am Objektivhalter lösen. Das Objektiv vorsichtig so
weit drehen, bis das Bild scharf ist. Anschließend die
Schraube wieder festziehen.

required, switch on the backlight compensation (BLC) and
the flicker compensation (FLK) and deactivate the AGC.
The zoom factor can be changed with the switches 1
and 2. However, a change of the zoom factor will not be
effective before the module has been switched off and on
again. The switch 3 (ELC) is optimally adjusted for the
integrated lens and should not be changed.
2) After video connection and after applying the 12 V supply
voltage, the module is ready for operation. Remove the
lens cover and precisely adjust the module to the surveil-
lance zone.
3) If the object to be monitored is not in focus, readjust the
focus setting: Release the small screw (b) at the lens
mount. Carefully turn the lens until the picture is in focus.
Then retighten the screw.
