1. FRONT PANEL VC 1200 and VC 2400

1.1 ON/OFF BUTTON

The mains switch is equipped with an integrated fuse that
automatically shuts down the power amp when it
overloads. The green LED (MAINS) illuminates to indicate
the amp is powered up.
NOTE:
1. When powering up your system, always turn the VC
1200/VC2400 on last.
2. When you're ready to shut the system down, reverse the
order, i.e. turn off the power amps before you switch off
any other devices in the signal chain.

1.2 GAIN CONTROL

Use this control to determine the desired maximum output
volume.
Please keep in mind that the actual output level is not
determined directly by the GAIN control, but by the level
of the incoming signal.
To avoid damaging speakers:
- Only use speakers capable of handling the amplifierís
rated power. As a rule, more powerful amps are used not
simply to achieve even higher volume levels, but to allow
additional headroom for an enhanced response.
- Do not operate your VC 1200 or VC 2400 at absolute

maximum power continuously. A signal driven to clipping
can destroy your speakers despite their protective circuits.
Tweeters are expecially prone to being fried by power
surges.
HK AUDIO is not liable for damage to speaker systems
resulting from overload due to incorrect use.

1.3 CLIP LEDs

The CLIP LEDs illuminate to indicate every signal peak that
exceeds the upper threshold of the dynamic headroom,
regardless how briefly the peak exceeds this range. If the
LED illuminates continuously or regularly for brief
intervals, you must reduce the gain accordingly.

1.4 SIGNAL LED

This green LED illuminates to indicate an incoming signal
for each of the two channels (A and/or B).
