Do not leave exhausted batteries in the remote control unit or set
because even leak-proof batteries are susceptible to corrosion
and, thus, could expose chemicals which are harmful to your
health or destroy the battery compartment. Remove the batteries
from the compartment if you will not use them for a major period
of time.

How to connect

This chapter informs you on how to connect your satellite receiver to the satellite
bowl and sets which already exist, e.g. a TV set, video recorder or decoder. There
are various possible connections depending on the sets used.
Making a connection requires that all sets to be connected be dis-
connected from the mains (unplug them). Also note the instructions for
use of the sets requiring connection.
For connection, use a so-called "Scart connection cable" (not comprised in the delivery).

Connect to a TV set

Connect the scart link (9) of your satellite receiver to the scart input of the TV Set.
Connect to a TV set and a video
recorder
Connect the scart link (9) to your scart link of the
video recorder.
Connect the antenna out socket (RF) of the video
recorder to the antenna in socket (RF) of the TV
set. Switch on the Satellitreceiver, the video recor-
der and the TV set. Switch the videorecorder to the
AV programmchannel, select on the TV set the
videorecorderchannel. The satellite receiver pictu-
re is only visible if the video recorder is on and not
in playback status.
