5. Check the tyre pressure (see the "Before Your First Ride" chapter, "Infl ating the Tyres"
section).
Important Notes on Braking
When you activate the brake lever (6), the hub motor (14) is automatically switched
off.
If you do not apply the brake lever (6) correctly, you may lose control of the product.
Braking must be practised!
Note that the braking distance is increased the higher the overall weight is.
Brake gently! Blocked wheels have a poorer braking effect and can result in skids
and accidents.
Brake before corners, not as you go round a corner.

Starting and Stopping

1. Switch on the light (see the "Before Your First Ride" chapter, "Speedometer Display"
section, "Switch the light on / off" subsection).
2. Hold the handlebar (2) fi rmly with both hands.
3. Place one leg on the foot board (12).
4. Step down to get going, as you would do on a normal pedal scooter.
5. Carefully turn the accelerator throttle (27) and lean forwards slightly as you do so.
6. As soon as the scooter sets off, place your other foot on the foot board (12).
7. Sit on the saddle (8) if necessary. Caution! Your weight will shift when you sit down
or stand up. Only change position when travelling slowly.
8. Press the M button (e) to select a speed interval (ECO, MID or HIGH).
9. The speed is infi nitely regulated within the set speed interval by the accelerator
throttle (27). Only accelerate if you are able to handle the scooter safely.
10. To brake, release the accelerator throttle (27) and press the brake lever (6). Do not
brake too abruptly and shift your weight forwards slightly on the scooter.
11. If the scooter only accelerates a little, check the battery status display (f). Charge the
battery if necessary (see the "Before Your First Ride" chapter, "Removing / Inserting
the Battery Pack and Charging the Battery" section).

If the scooter does not work properly, check in the "Troubleshooting" and
"Maintenance" chapters whether you can rectify a fault yourself. Otherwise
contact the customer service department or a specialist workshop if necessary
(see the "Warranty" chapter).
The handlebar (2) is not rigid but rather can be tilted slightly as it is used not just
for turning right or left when changing direction but also for tilting to the side with
a lateral displacement of weight for changing track and direction.
