The mains adapter should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket with

safety contacts. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection

so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must

match the technical data of the battery. Only use suitable extension cables whose

technical data is the same as that of the battery / mains adapter.

■

Never immerse the product, battery pack, mains adapter, mains cable or mains plug

in water or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet.

■

If the product, battery pack, mains adapter, mains cable or mains plug fall into water,

switch off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull the product or battery

pack out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!

■

Never touch the product, mains adapter, mains cable or mains plug with wet hands

when these components are connected to the mains power.

■

Remove the mains plug from the plug socket if a fault occurs during charging and

before a thunderstorm.

■

Always pull the mains plug and never the mains cable.

■

Do not charge the battery in rooms containing easily ignitable dust or poisonous and

explosive fumes.

■

Do not charge the battery in a very damp environment or in the vicinity of combustible

material.

■

In the event of any damage / faults, step off immediately and switch off the product!

Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Product

■

The product should only be used when it is fully assembled, undamaged, and in

working order. If there is any damage to the product, it must not be used.

■

Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and

does not come into contact with hot surfaces.

■

Maintain a sufﬁ cient distance from heat sources such as hobs or ovens in order not

to damage the product. Do not place any naked ﬂ ames, e.g. burning candles, in the

immediate vicinity of the battery pack, mains adapter, mains cable or mains plug.

■

Do not drop the product or subject it to heavy impacts.

■

Do not place any heavy objects on the product, battery pack, mains adapter, mains

cable or mains plug.

■

Do not carry the mains adapter by the mains cable.

■

Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures, wide temperature variations,

wet conditions or direct sunlight. Do not expose the mains adapter to any moisture.

■

Use only original spare parts!
