This appliance is solely intended for private household use and can be used to
weigh items up to a total of 5 kg. This appliance is not intended nor suitable for
commercial or industrial use.

INSERTING THE BATTERIES

Open the battery compartment (6) on the back of the appliance. Place four AAA
batteries into the battery compartment. When inserting the batteries, pay attention to
the polarity displayed in the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment.

TURNING THE SCALE ON/OFF

Press the ON/ZERO button (3) to turn the scale on. "HI" will appear in the digital display
(4). Wait until "0" is displayed before weighing anything.
The scale turns itself off after one minute when no button is pushed or when the last
weight measured does not change.

SETTING THE UNIT OF WEIGHT

Press the ON/ZERO button (3) to turn the scale on. Press the "g/LB" button (2) to
select gram or pound.

WEIGHING AND ZERO FUNCTION

To weigh the contents of a container, turn the scale on using the ON/ZERO button (3)
and wait until "0" is displayed. Place the container on the scale and press the
ON/ZERO button (3) again. The scale resets to 0. Now put the items to be weighed in
the container. You can repeat this process with individual ingredients as often as
desired.

WARNING SIGNAL

When the scale is overloaded (5 kg max. weight), then "0-Ld" appears in the digital
display.
A battery symbol will be displayed when the batteries need changing.

DIGITAL DISPLAY

Normally the time is displayed.
Press the MODE button (8) once to display the alarm time, twice for the date and three
times to display the actual seconds (00 until 59 seconds).

SETTING THE ALARM TIME:

Press the SET button (7). The time blinks and "AL" is displayed in the digital display (5).
Press the MODE button (8) until the alarm symbol (( )) is displayed.
Press the SET button (7). The hour blinks.
Press the MODE button (8) to set the hour.
Press the SET button (7). The minutes blink.
Press the MODE button (8) to set the minutes.
Press the SET button (7) to confirm the selection.
To turn off the alarm, press the MODE button (8).
