PREPARATION

1. Remove all packaging materials and check the device and accessories for damages.
2. Clean the unit as described in Cleaning and Maintenance. Heed all safety instructions when doing so.
3. One 3 V lithium round cell battery, type CR2032, is installed in your luggage scale upon delivery.
Remove the protective foil from the battery compartment (4) to make contact. The scale is ready
for use.

INSERTING/REPLACING BATTERY

1. Remove the battery compartment cover (5).
2. Remove the used battery and dispose of it in an environmentally-friendly way, according to legal
regulations.
3. Place a 3 V lithium round cell battery, type CR2032, in the battery compartment. Heed correct
polarity. The battery's plus side must face upwards.
4. The LCD display (1) turns on and shows 0.00, as well as kg. The LCD display turns off
automatically after about 1 minute.
5. To close the battery compartment, replace the cover and click it into place.
6. Change the battery when the LCD display shows the symbol
