temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at
temperatures outside the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of

6 – Service
a. Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
b. Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery packs should only be performed
by the manufacturer or authorized service providers.
EXTRA SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CONCERNING CORDLESS DRILL
1. Use auxiliary handle(s), if supplied with the tool. Loss of control can cause personal
injury.
2. Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an operation where
the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring. Cutting accessory contacting a "live"
wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an
electric shock.
3. If possible, always use clamps or a vice to hold your work.
4. Always switch off before you put the tool down.
5. Ensure that the lighting is adequate.
6. Do not put pressure on the tool, such that it slows the motor down. Allow the bit to screw
without pressure. You will get better results and you will be taking better care of your tool.
7. Keep the area free of tripping hazards.
8. Only use accessory bits in good condition.
9. Before starting, check that there is sufficient clearance for the bit under the workpiece.
10. Do not touch the bit after operation. It will be very hot.
11. Keep your hands away from under the workpiece.
12. Never use your hands to remove dust, chips or waste close by the bit.
13. Rags, cloths, cord, string and the like should never be left around the work area.
14. Support the work properly.
15. If you are interrupted when operating the tool, complete the process and switch off before
looking up.
16. Periodically check that all nuts, bolts and other fixings are properly tightened.
17. When using the tool, use safety equipment including safety glasses or shield, hearing
protection, and protective clothing including safety gloves. Wear a dust mask if the operation
creates dust.
18. WARNING
Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction
activities contains chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Some examples of these chemicals are:
- lead from lead-based paints,
- crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and
- arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To
reduce your exposure to these chemicals: work in a well ventilated area, and work with
approved safety equipment, such as those dust masks that are specially designed to filter out
microscopic particles.
19. Even when the tool is used as prescribed it is not possible to eliminate all residual risk factors.
