› Close the box and lift it above the roof rack, sliding the fasteners onto the rack one after
another so that they slide into the T-slot.
› When sliding the box into the rack T-slot, lift the box above the rack level so that the rack
edge does not hit the embossments at the bottom of the box.
› Two persons are required for this operation.

› Place the roof box symmetrically on the rack profiles and make sure it does not interfere with
the car's antenna or tailgate. If so, remove the car antenna and open the tailgate with caution.

› After positioning the box on the roof racks, carefully tighten all plastic head screws by hand.
Tighten each screw until it clicks three times.
› Insert the protective rubber strip of the appropriate length (part of the roof rack set) into the
T-slots at the free ends of the roof racks.

› When loading the box, always ensure that the weight of any items you are transporting in it is
correctly distributed (see the figure for information on how the weight is to be distributed).
Always place the heaviest items in the centre or directly above the bars of the roof rack. The
weight of any items being transported at the front or back of the box (unless they are placed
above the bars of the roof rack) must not exceed 5 kg.
› Do not overload. If the luggage causes the roof box to press on the roof, this may damage the
roof box and prevent it from closing properly.
› Do not stow any luggage in close proximity to the locking mechanism.
› Always secure the luggage in the box with suitable lashing straps (included in the set).
› We recommend transporting skis in a ski bag.
For easier access to the box it is possible to open the box from both sides (opposite side
must be locked).
Caution! The box locks are fitted with safety locks. If the box lid is not properly
closed, the box cannot be locked. If the box cannot be easily locked, check that
the box lid is properly closed.
Caution: Do not use a box that has not been properly attached or is not fully
attached, and as such is not secured to the roof rack. This could cause the box to
slide off the roof and cause a serious accident.
Note. Do not transport explosives or highly flammable material, animals, people,
bricks, sand, etc. in the box.

General maintenance

› Check that the box is attached correctly, the luggage is secured in the box, and that the box is
locked before each journey.
› Mounting a box increases the overall vehicle height. Please therefore take into consideration
the fact that the car may handle and cope with crosswinds differently.
› Be particularly aware when passing under anything with low head room, garages, etc.
› Do not use an automatic car wash when the box is mounted.
› When the box is not in use, we recommend that it is removed to reduce air resistance and fuel
consumption, as well as for reasons of driving safety.
