GB INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Your new Salter scale is a quality product which, if used in accordance with the following instructions will give you years of
efficient and reliable service. Therefore, please read this instruction leaflet carefully.
Zeroing and weighing
Place the emply pan provided on the scale and check that the pointer is at the zero mark before weighing. To adjust the pointer
to zero; slowly turn the rotating knob located on the top or rear of the scale then tap the pan gently to settle the mechanism.
Readjust if necessary.
Cleaning and care
1. To prevent damage DO NOT:
a. stand scale or bowl near an oven or other direct source of heat
b. immerse scale in water
c. clean with abrasive or chemical agents
2. The outer casing of the scale may be wiped clean with a damp cloth and the bowl can be washed by hand or
by dishwasher.
3. The mechanism does NOT require maintenance of any kind.
4. The bowl supplied with this product must not be placed in a microwave oven.
This product is intended for domestic use only. Salter will repair or replace the product, or any part of this product,
(excluding batteries) free of charge if within 15 years of the date of purchase, it can be shown to have failed through defective
workmanship or materials.This guarantee covers working parts that affect the function of the scale. It does not cover
cosmetic deterioration caused by fair wear and tear or damage caused by accident or misuse. Opening or taking apart the
scale or its components will void the guarantee. Claims under guarantee must be supported by proof of purchase and be
returned carriage paid to Salter (or local Salter appointed agent if outside the UK). Care should be taken in packing the scale
so that it is not damaged while in transit.This undertaking is in addition to a consumer's statutory rights and does not affect
