What's in This Booklet?
This booklet shows you how to set up and start using your complete
HP BASIC Controller. The other manuals included with your system discuss
individual components-you won't need to use them to get your controller
assembled and started up. (You may need them later if you change the factory
configuration. )
Note
This system has been tested and found to comply with the
regulatory requirements of the countries in which it is sold.
For specifics, refer to the owner's manuals or installation
instructions for the individual products of this system.
Your HP BASIC Controller is preassembled (except for the monitor and
keyboard) and supplied with a convenient start-up program (included on the
Installation Disk packaged with this booklet). By following the steps in this
booklet, you can quickly and easily get your system running.

To prepare your system for use, perform the tasks listed below. Each task is
described further in this booklet.
1. Unpack the system.
2. Connect the monitor and keyboard to the computer.
3. Use the Installation Disk to start your system and help you install the
MS-DOS and HP BASIC software.
4. Customize your installation, if desired.
