10. Check the following items:
• The display and keyboard are securely connected to the computer.
• The computer is turned off (the push-type power button is "out").
• The display is turned off (the push-type power button is flush with the
case and its light is off).
11. If the controller has two flexible disk drives, remove the blank shipping
insert from the lower drive. To do this, turn the lever next to the drive
slot. (Save the insert-reinsert it in the drive whenever you move the
computer to another location.)
12. Connect the computer's power cord first to the back of the computer, then
to a grounded (three-hole) outlet or a multiple-outlet strip with its own
circuit breaker.
